Brick Stitch: 2 and 3-Bead Increase
Category
Need a brick stitch row to jump out 2 or 3 beads past the row below? This is the end-of-row increase. We start on a finished sample, a ladder of 4 and a row of 5, with the beads alternating pink and blue so each new bead stands out. The row of 5 already hangs 1 bead past the edge, so that is the +1. For +2, ladder stitch one more bead onto the end of the row, come up through the last bead, hook the thread bridge beside it, go back down through that bead and up through the new one so you are set to keep going. For +3, ladder stitch two beads onto the end of the row, then circle back through the last two beads once more to lock them in place.
